THE GN250

We got a pretty specific design remit for this unconventional GN250 rebuild and custom; but design aside - the aim was stripped back, streamlined and upgraded.

The bike had been quite heavily customised previously, and we picked her up in a bit of a pickle - the engine itself was ok bar some dead gaskets, but block aside, the job was more or less a complete rebuild. Fried electrics, a wiring harness that resembled a bowl of spaghetti, bent rims, bars, worn suspension and brakes, a dead dash/ faulty controls and a choked up carb. Everything that was salvageable was expertly refurbished; everything else - replaced.

From an aesthetic perspective, the owner's vision centered around a super slim and very angular Honda Federal tank - unique as hell - for which we had to fabricate an extension to allow it to flow seamlessly in to a new low-profile custom seat pan and upholstery. We re-worked and re-coated frame, re-spoked and re-coated the wheels, converted to a tidy dual exhaust, gave her a new set of shoes, controls, a custom battery box, and way way more. The only thing left outstanding is a new lick of tank paint.
